I was wondering why I was comfortable being fat. I mean I didn’t use to be. Sometimes I’m not. Like before I went on vacation last year, I really wanted to get skinny. So I dieted on One Meal a Day (OMAD) for a few months and lost 10kg! That was great.
I wasn’t super motivated to stick with it though.
It did curb my appetite so I wasn’t eating so much.
Travelling through France I didn’t want to stick to just One Meal a Day. I think that was my initial plan. You do save money!
Coming back to Australia I have put on a heap of weight- an extra 10kg on top of my starting weight from last year. Like last year I was 90kg and unhappy so I lost about 10kg, and now I’m at 100kg! That is ridiculous.
How did I lose all that weight last year? Why don’t I feel like doing it now? Even though I’m bigger now. Why don’t I want to lose the weight?
It is probably not because Australia sucks. Although, sometimes I think it is. The first time I lost heaps of weight I was in South Korea. I was doing alright on our trip until we hit the United States. At least that’s what it felt like.
Coming home I felt depressed. I overate and paid absolutely no attention to the scales. I had no interest in them. I just wanted to ignore it, and feel sad.
Or not feel anything.
I eat to not feel anything at all.
Now I am ready to lose weight again.
I want to get that motivation you have when you are actively losing weigh and super positive.
Get back to that really positive place.
I don’t naturally feel it, so I am manufacturing it.
So now, to activate my weight motivation I am looking at the scale.
Really looking and it and not liking what I see.
I have placed a scale in my bathroom and get on it all the time.
Like 5 times a day!
Why? Because where you’re attention goes energy flows!
And not looking at your weight means it will go up and up and up, if you are prone to overeating like I am, when you are not feeling great.
So if you are ready to lose weight- start paying attention to yourself, the scales and where you are-
otherwise you won’t know how to get to where you are going.
